"I have been running since high school in which I have never had an injury. At age 22, I started running marathons and have completed 16 marathons. I encountered my first injury two months ago and I could not walk. I was having a hard time walking and coping with my injury since I have been an athlete my whole life. On my first evaluation, Dr. Kowalkowski performed a comprehensive physical examination and requested I undergo further workup for my lower extremity symptoms. I discovered I had 100% occlusion of my bilateral femoral arteries and needed surgery. I did receive treatment for my bilateral shoulder pain that day.
