I feel great. Sticking to these treatments has done wonders for me. I know I have been tedious at times to deal with, but its been a long 5yrs since the first spinal fusion surgery, and I have reached a comfort zone.
The will to have kicked the pills has paid of. They ruined a facet of my life I will never get back.
My friend Steve Johnson is headaches free for the first time in 10yrs.
The word of mouth advertiseing we are doing , we hope helps more Vets !!

“I came to IPPMC at my wit’s end looking for pain management. My life had been disrupted due to pain medications and pills. I lost my marriage, my friends and I became isolated. I got to a point where I had not left my house for three months. My landlord was concerned with my wellbeing. I was sent to a different pain clinic initially and I was not treated right. I was apprehensive but presented to IPPMC. Since my first visit I felt that they listened to my needs and we had a healthy patient/client relationship. I have been improving ever since. I am more active and my old demeanor is back. I am at a point where I want to be a patient advocate and help others. This is the honest to God truth.”

“Where else can you go to get your back looked at, be put in a room right away and be understood by great medical staff and doctor, get treatment and therapy all in one day. I will recommend anyone to come here to get treated!”

“I’ve been dealing with pain for 14 years. The pain was intolerable to the point where I became inactive, I gained weight and my pain increased, it effected my mood, my behavior and my social life. Once making a decision to do something about it I did my research and found Dr. K and IPPMC. After speaking with my primary, I received a referral and met the team at IPPMC. In this journey to recover with my pain taking years, I have not felt this good in 14 years. I am 38 going back to 16. Living without pain has freed my mind to do other things and pursue my interest. Thank you IPPMC.”

“I went to my regular primary care for my annual exam and told him my left shoulder was awful. I had been treated by a physical therapist at IPPMC ten years ago and wanted to be re-seen by Allen so I received a referral for my pain. After undergoing a consultation with Dr. K he did an examination on me and suggested further workup for my shoulder and neck. He identified a torn bicep and inflammation as well as a large mass on my thyroid. Three days ago my primary care had checked my thyroid with a blood test and told me everything was normal. If Dr. K had not done further workup I would not have found the masses on my thyroid. They are in the process of working up these masses. IPPMC is awesome. Everybody I have worked with from the nurses to the MRI tech, the receptionists, the doctors, everything has been awesome. They are so nice to me and very thorough, that is what I really like.”

“My right knee pain started 49 years ago in a place called Vietnam. I still have a piece of shrapnel in my right knee that they did not take out after being hit by friendly fire. I’ve been dealing with treatment for this since my early 20s. I am now in my 70s. The VA was unable to help me with my pain. After my treatments to the right knee I can now get up in the morning without pain. I can now do more work at home underneath my car and on my knee. I feel great.”

“I have had physical therapies before and went through the process, but I would have to say the physical therapy with Tim at IPPMC has been amazing. I have had serious improvement with my function. When I started I was performing approximately three laps. At my maximum weight I was almost 700 pounds. I am currently approximately 450 pounds and I am more active. I am able to walk for ten minutes. I originally came to IPPMC for medication management as I was sent here from CentraCare Wound Clinic. May pain was untreated and I was not in a very good place. When Dr. K told me we were going to start physical therapies I was very reluctant at best. I said since he was a doctor I would try it. I was not very hopeful. Everything has improved, my wound healing, my mood. I thought that physical therapy would make me feel worse, but is just the opposite, it has given me more energy. Thanks Tim, you have been amazing.”

“I was in yesterday and I was given a shot for my pelvic and back pain and changed my medication. I just wanted to thank you for everything you have done. I have not felt this good in over a year. I do appreciate what you have done. It is hard to find anybody that would even look at me or figure out what’s going on or give a shit about anything. I feel a thousand times better after I left and just want to let you know I appreciate your efforts. You are good at what you do buddy. Thank you.”

“I found a bulging disc in my back which was causing me constant pain for the last year. I was told I might need surgery. I woke up in severe pain and thought the pain would get better but it never did. I was placed on a prescription for pain but the medications gave me minimal benefit. I looked for help and I had to go to the ER for my pain. I heard about IPPMC from a friend. I ultimately had a hydrocision performed at IPPMC. I can say I am 90-100% improved. The procedure was a same day and was very simple. People were amazed how quick my recovery was. I was walking the next day and feeling good. I have returned to work and have an improved quality of life. Thank you IPPMC.”

“Six years ago I was involved in a motor vehicle accident which resulted in an injury to my right hand and shoulder. I went to orthopedics for surgery and I had a nerve block in the shoulder region for the surgery which I continued to have pain after the treatment. I was referred to pain management in Alexandria for three years. The anesthesiologist performed greater than 80 stellate ganglion blocks which really did not help. During this process they recommended a spinal cord stimulator and also I became addicted to morphine, Vicodin, and Percocet. Once I had my stimulator placed I am unable to sit in a chair comfortable because of the positioning or stand, it really has not helped my symptoms and I want it removed. The pain has significantly affected by my life; I lost my job, my family, my home and everything else. I called for two weeks to try to find a place that would help me. I eventually got in touch with IPPMC. I had underwent a consultation with Dr. K on my first visit. He recommended a different treatment plan. After one visit at IPPMC I felt 80% better. It was the first time in six years I’ve been able to leave my house for over a week and work. I put in 12 hours a day on my race car and I also go to college full-time. I can’t believe being here one time changed me that much. I am optimistic about my future.”
