“I have been to multiple pain clinics to find help with my pain. I have been to Minneapolis, groups in Willmar as well as in St. Cloud trying to help my pain. My experience with these was all they wanted to do was do injections. They would wait a while and do another injection. After multiple injections they wanted to put a spinal cord stimulator in me. That did not impress me. During this time my opioid use escalated to 120 mg of OxyContin a day.When I started coming to IPPMC I realized they treated the whole person. I saw a psychologist; I saw a physical therapist, as well as Dr. Kowalkowski. They treated me as a whole person. I have been receiving treatments over the last three months and I have cut my opioid use down more than half. My thinking is clear and I am better able to cope with my remaining pain and the injections I received at this clinic helped. The exercise facility is bar none. It has definitely been worth my efforts.”
