I have been treated at IPPMC for five years.  Five years ago I was having back pain and bilateral lower extremity pain, which was slowing me down.  Dr. Kowalkowski evaluated me and I underwent a spinal injection and I had 100% relief of my symptoms for five years.  Recently, I was exercising and I woke up the next morning with pain in my back and right lower extremity.  I immediately came into IPPMC and they took me that day and I left after the injection with no pain and I am still not having pain.  I would give him a big hug for doing that for doing that for me because I was able then to get work done that I could not do.

I have been dealing with lower back pain since March of 2009 due to a car accident. I was unable to clean my home, going on walks, sit or stand for very long. It was hard to sleep. I started a comprehensive rehabilitation program at IPPMC. The rehabilitation and MedX program was very professional. They were very friendly, helpful, and it went really well. My strength improved considerably in my lower back.

I am very very happy with the treatment that I got at IPPMC.  I feel better than I have in the last several years.  It is the first time that I have been offered hope again and that counted for an awful lot.  The doctor quickly evaluated my situation and treated me for all my problems.  I am going to try to get my family to come here too.

I have been seen for my lower back pain with orthopedics, with anesthesiology, with pain medicine, with physical medicine rehabilitation. I have been to multiple clinics with no help. I came to IPPMC from my primary care provider. After a few visits, I have 60% improvement in my lower back. My left leg used to drag and I no longer have concerns at this time with my leg. This clinic really cares about the patient’s.

I have had right lower abdominal pain for over 20 years.  I was evaluated by GI specialist in Palm Springs.  I had an MRI of my back, I saw my internal medicine doctor, and I was treated by neurology in which I underwent extensive lab work.  They thought I had liver disease at one point.  My abdominal pain made it difficult to walk or work.  I was eventually referred to IPPMC.  After one consultation, in which they reviewed my medical records, I was correctly diagnosed and treated the same day.  I can say after two visits, I am 90% improved.

I have been to multiple pain clinics to find help with my pain. I have been to Minneapolis, groups in Willmar as well as in St. Cloud trying to help my pain. My experience with these was all they wanted to do was do injections. They would wait a while and do another injection. After multiple injections they wanted to put a spinal cord stimulator in me. That did not impress me. During this time my opioid use escalated to 120 mg of OxyContin a day.When I started coming to IPPMC I realized they treated the whole person. I saw a psychologist; I saw a physical therapist, as well as Dr. Kowalkowski. They treated me as a whole person. I have been receiving treatments over the last three months and I have cut my opioid use down more than half. My thinking is clear and I am better able to cope with my remaining pain and the injections I received at this clinic helped. The exercise facility is bar none. It has definitely been worth my efforts.

I came to IPPMC with chronic lower back pain. Due to some paperwork for insurance companies I ended up losing my insurance and monthly income. My primary care doctor told me to come to IPPMC in which I can say the team at IPPMC including the front desk and the way the business office directed me in the right direction in which I had access to the county and payment for my care. After a few short visits my back is significantly improved. I am no longer sleeping on the floor at this time. I was wrongly evicted from my home and now with the help of the team at IPPMC I am now back in my apartment and my back is better. There is now light at the end of the tunnel.

I have had chronic lower back pain that has affected my quality of life for 50 years.  Recently I have had difficulty sitting in chairs and sleeping.  I was in constant pain all the time.  I was somewhat apprehensive about additional treatment.  I heard of IPPMC and gave it a try.  It is good to find a place that is dealing with pain.  I have at least 85% relief of my chronic lower back pain at this time.  I am now able to go up steps and they looked at me as a whole person and are treating my whole body rather than a specific area.
