I have had lower back pain off and on for 10 years. I was seen by neurosurgery, chiropractors, I underwent spinal injections, but continued to have pain. My pain was as worse as ever had been, in which it was suggested I go to IPPMC for treatment for my back. Within a short time period, I can say that I am pretty much pain free. I am able to function normally. I think everybody has been great to work with at IPPMC.

This is the first time in 10-12 years that I can do just about anything without back or knee pain. It is great. I can carry things without knee and back pain. Before I could only stand for a maximum of an hour. Now I do not have a restriction.

I came in to the pain clinic because I could not sit. For over 13 years I had intermittent pain that caused me not to be able to sit comfortably. It was affecting my mood. I was basically living with my pain. I was referred to IPPMC from my primary care doctor. I did not know if anything could help my pain. Nine months later, I still have virtually no pain and I can sit without pain. I am happier. Everybody has been great.

When I first was seen at IPPMC by Dr. Kowalkowski, I was told that I was going to be placed on full disability. I had no use of my right arm and I had migraine headaches to the point that I could not function. I have had two neck fusions which increased my pain. The neurologist and neurosurgeons tell me that there was nothing that they could do anymore. At IPPMC, I got off of the drugs. I have a neurostimulator. I am now a flight attendant and flying all over the place and having a great time. I tell a lot of people about this clinic. I keep their number and tell people I know that are in pain to give IPPMC a call.

I have had a great experience at IPPMC. The nurses and the doctor are helping me with my pain. The interventional treatments have been helpful and they have been very nice to me. They are good people. I have been to other pain clinics in which I felt they were like an assembly line. I really got personal attention at IPPMC.

I have been living with back pain now for 10-12 years. I have been treated with chiropractic therapy a numerous times. After one visit at IPPMC, I am back to playing baseball. It has been two years since I have been able to play baseball. I am sleeping better and I feel better.

I have had lower back pain for a number of years but it became more severe in September of 2008. I did physical therapy for approximately five months and once I stopped that therapy it came back immediately. At that time I was ready to do surgery and have it taken care of. I was referred to IPPMC from my physical therapist, Dr. Kowalkowski performed some diagnostic and therapeutic injections to determine where my pain was coming from and I had severe pain when I presented and today I feel great. I have resumed activities with my children. I can handle my job with minimal pain and discomfort. It has been over a year and half since I felt this good. He was able to identify where my pain is. I understand that symptoms may come back but I am confident that with further treatments at IPPMC I can remain surgery free.

I would like for anyone reading this to know that Dr. Kowalkowski is fantastic at relieving pain. I have tried absolutely everything and he has worked very diligently to relieve my pain and he has done it. I feel like a new person that way I haven't felt in many years. So anyone suffering from severe back pain or any type of pain, I would strongly recommend, no matter how far it is, to come here!

I have been performing heavy lifting and welding the majority of my life. I have done extensive lifting including farm work, construction, and the accumulation of use of my lower back had resulted in considerable pain. It got to the point that I could not sit, stand, or work. After coming to IPPMC, just one visit, I can say I have not felt this good in 20 years. Thanks for the help.

I am doing very well after I got treated at IPPMC for a compression fracture of my thoracic spine. Dr. Kowalkowski performed a vertebroplasty at T8. I feel great. Sally's daughter states prior to her mother's treatment, her pain was so great that she was confused so much of time and that is completely gone now.
