What is scoliosis?
Scoliosis is the abnormal curvature of the spine. The condition is diagnosed by evaluation medical history, physical examination, and by measuring the degree of curvature, shape, pattern, and location of curvature of the spine. Symptoms may include uneven shoulders and waist, learning on one side, and fatigue. As scoliosis progresses, the spine may rotate or twist from side to side resulting in back pain and trouble breathing. Treatment options may include braces and surgery.
