What are musculoskeletal disorders?
The term 'musculoskeletal disorder' encompasses a wide range of conditions. These conditions include fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, osteoarthritis, and general pain in muscles, tendons, and nerves. Many musculoskeletal disorders are work related, due to repetitive stress, overuse, and poor posture, among other things. Treatment includes heat and cold therapies, pain relief medication, injections, physical therapy, and exercise.
